Promotion Guide
Trainee → Base → Promoted
In FE8, trainee classes (like Journeyman, Recruit, and Pupil) can promote to base classes at level 10. Base classes promote to their advanced forms using promotion items. FE8 features branching promotions for most classes.
Standard promotion level is 10+, but it is often recommended to wait until level 20 for maximum stat gains before promoting.
