The Mercenary is a sword-using class present in the Fire Emblem series. They have appeared in nearly every game, starting from the very first, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, the exceptions being Genealogy of the Holy War, Path of Radiance, Radiant Dawn and Engage.
